Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has commended his administration for the significant progress made by Ghana’s national teams over the past year.
Speaking at the GFA’s 30th Ordinary Congress, Okraku highlighted the impressive performances of various teams on the international stage.
Over the last 12 months, Ghana’s national teams have made notable strides.
The Black Stars participated in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), while the Black Queens secured a long-awaited return to the continental competition for the first time since 2018.
The Black Princesses and Black Satellites also shone, each claiming gold medals at the 2023 African Games, with the Black Princesses additionally qualifying for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Reflecting on these achievements, Okraku expressed pride in the teams’ performances and reiterated the administration’s commitment to seeing the Black Stars qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
“We have made strides in our national team performances with the qualifications to the WAFCON, to the men’s AFCON, and at the moment, we are in a good position in our determination to qualify for the 2026 World Cup,” Okraku stated.
