The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has raised concerns about discrepancies discovered during the ongoing 2024 voter exhibition exercise, prompting the party to request an urgent meeting with the Electoral Commission (EC).
The NDC made this request in a letter addressed to the Commission, seeking immediate discussions to address the issues identified.
In the letter, the NDC outlined that their analysis of the Provisional Voter Register (PVR), provided by the Commission, revealed significant inconsistencies when compared with the voter registers currently being exhibited at various centres across the country.
The party stressed the importance of resolving these discrepancies to ensure the integrity of the upcoming elections.
“We write to request an important emergency meeting with you and your team to discuss very serious discrepancies discovered during the ongoing 2024 voter exhibition exercise,” the letter stated, highlighting the urgency of the matter.
The NDC emphasized the need for a timely and favourable response from the EC, underscoring the party’s commitment to ensuring that the 2024 elections are free, fair, and transparent.
The voter exhibition exercise, a critical component of the electoral process, allows registered voters to verify their details on the electoral roll and make necessary corrections.
