Stephen Curry continues to redefine basketball. The Golden State Warriors superstar became the first player in NBA history to sink 4,000 career three-pointers, reaching the milestone in Thursday night’s clash against the Sacramento Kings.

Curry needed just two threes to hit the mark and wasted no time, drilling the record-breaking shot with 8:19 left in the third quarter. Reflecting on the achievement, he admitted even he never envisioned reaching this number. “It’s beyond my wildest dreams to push a record that far,” Curry said in an interview.

The milestone is another chapter in Curry’s storied career. He shattered Ray Allen’s previous record of 2,973 threes at Madison Square Garden in 2021, and since then, he has only widened the gap. Now in his 16th season and just turning 37 years, the Warriors icon shows no signs of slowing down.

Curry’s influence on the game is immeasurable. He transformed the NBA with his deep-range shooting, inspiring a generation of players to stretch the floor like never before. His 3,000th triple once felt unthinkable but now, 4,000 is in the books, and he’s still adding to the tally.

With James Harden sitting a distant second at 3,120 made threes, Curry’s record may stand for decades. As for how much further he can go? Even he doesn’t know. “I don’t know how many more I got after that,” he said. “Keep pushing it to as far as I can.”
