Kylian Mbappé revealed on social media his decision to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the summer, with his final match at Parc des Princes set for Sunday against Toulouse.
In an Instagram post, Mbappé stated, “I’ve always said that I would speak with you when the time comes and so I wanted to announce to you all that it’s my last year at Paris Saint-Germain.
I will not extend, and the adventure will come to an end in a few weeks.”
After establishing himself as one of the world’s premier players, Mbappé has made a lasting impact during his seven-year tenure at PSG, which began with his arrival in 2017.
Mbappé’s departure from PSG appears to have paved the way for Real Madrid to potentially finalize the long-pursued deal to acquire the French star.
While the specifics of Real Madrid’s offer to Mbappé remain uncertain, reports indicate that the Spanish club is ready to offer him a salary twice as much as his current earnings at PSG.
In 2017, Mbappé made history by signing a groundbreaking €180 million deal with Paris Saint-Germain, setting a new transfer fee record for a teenage player at that time.
Throughout his stint with PSG, Mbappé secured six Ligue 1 titles, three Coupes de France titles, and played a pivotal role in the club’s first-ever UEFA Champions League final appearance in 2020.
Mbappé’s remarkable tenure at PSG is adorned with numerous accolades, including four Ligue 1 Player of the Year awards, the Golden Boot, the Silver Ball, and being a finalist for the esteemed 2023 Ballon d’Or.
