The President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo says his government has implemented significant achievements making them stand a good chance at defending their legacy in the 2024 elections.
Speaking to the media at the 2023 NPP Special Delegates Conference, the President expressed confidence in his party ability to approach next year’s election in the good books of Ghanaians.
“We’ll have a good record to defend. We have some significant achievements which have addressed the concerns of the Ghanaian people. I’m very confident that we’re going into the 2024 election on a good side,” he indicated.
Meanwhile, the President said he is hopeful of a decent electoral process in the delegates conference.
Voting began at 9am and will end at 1pm as the country begins to take a crucial step towards its Presidential primaries on November 4.
At the end of voting today (August 26, 2023), five out of the ten candidates seeking to represent the party as its flagbearer for the 2024 general elections will be chosen. These five will face off again in November for the final candidate to be selected.
The President is calling for a “decent and transparent process” to pave way for the main election later in the year.
