Paris St-Germain finally captured their long-coveted Champions League title in sensational fashion, dismantling Inter Milan 5-0 in a night of pure dominance and youthful brilliance.

The star of the show was 19-year-old Desire Doue, whose extraordinary performance heralded the arrival of a new superstar on European football’s grandest stage.

PSG’s emphatic victory marked the largest winning margin ever recorded in a Champions League or European Cup final, and it was achieved with a blend of flair, precision, and unrelenting intensity.

Under the leadership of Luis Enrique, the Parisian side delivered a footballing masterclass that overwhelmed the Italian giants from the opening whistle.

Doue was at the heart of it all. After just 12 minutes, he teed up Achraf Hakimi for the opener, then doubled the lead eight minutes later with a deflected strike.

The teenager wasn’t done, adding his second and PSG’s third—midway through the second half, becoming only the third teenager to score in a Champions League final, following in the footsteps of Patrick Kluivert (1995) and Carlos Alberto (2004).

Inter, appearing in their second final in three years after losing to Manchester City in 2023, never recovered from PSG’s early blitz. The French champions sliced through their aging defense time and again, with Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia adding a fourth goal to cap another electric performance.

Luis Enrique, now a two-time Champions League winner after his 2015 triumph with Barcelona, celebrated wildly on the touchline as the fifth and final goal went in, scored by yet another teenager, 19-year-old substitute Senny Mayulu, just minutes from time.

This night felt like more than just a first Champions League title for PSG, it was the beginning of a new identity. The club has pivoted from its glitzy “Galácticos” model of Messi, Neymar, and Mbappé to a project built around youth, hunger, and tactical clarity.

Throughout the tournament, PSG took down some of England’s best, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Aston Villa, en route to the final.

Their journey was characterized not only by victories but by the evolution of a team maturing at the perfect moment.

In contrast to past frustrations in Europe, this PSG side looked composed, unified, and tactically fluid. Their high pressing and crisp ball movement left Inter chasing shadows all evening.

For Inter Milan, it was a night to forget. Their experienced squad looked tired and off the pace, unable to cope with the energy and variety PSG brought to the table.

Lautaro Martinez, their usual talisman, was anonymous as Simone Inzaghi’s men struggled to lay a glove on their opponents.

With several of Inter’s key players on the wrong side of 30 and questions swirling around Inzaghi’s future, the final whistle in Munich may well signal the end of an era at the club.

In what was the debut season of the Champions League’s new format, PSG’s triumph provided a fitting conclusion.

Their emphatic performance was a showcase of how the future of football may belong to those who invest wisely in youth, cohesion, and a long-term vision.

Paris St-Germain are no longer just contenders, they are champions. And with a core of rising stars led by the sensational Desire Doue, this may only be the beginning.
