The National Paralympic Committee of Ghana (NPC Ghana) has responded to a recent public disclaimer from the Ghana Adaptive Boxing Federation (GHABF), reiterating the reassignment of Mr. Isaac Tetteh as Media Officer and Administrator within the national para-sports body.
NPC Ghana clarified that Mr. Tetteh’s new position is a key part of the Committee’s overarching mission to advance advocacy, development, and visibility for para-sports across Ghana.
His reassignment aligns with the goals outlined in the NPC 2020–2027 Strategic Plan, which is considered the cornerstone of para-sport growth in the country.
The Committee emphasized that “all appointed media and administrative officers assigned to federations operate under the authority and framework of NPC Ghana,” highlighting that these officers work towards a collective, national vision of fostering an inclusive and globally competitive para-sports ecosystem.
NPC Ghana further explained that Mr. Tetteh’s role extends beyond any single federation and supports all para-sport disciplines under its guidance.
His responsibilities include project management, stakeholder relations, and media coordination, especially in relation to major initiatives such as the upcoming 1st Open Para-Sport and Classification Festival, set to take place later this year.
The Committee also recognized the efforts of all federations and members of the Technical Committee in developing the festival, which aims to establish Ghana as a leading center for para-sports and talent identification on the continent.
While respecting the independence of federations like GHABF, NPC Ghana called for unity and professionalism among all stakeholders in the pursuit of a common goal: empowering individuals with disabilities through sport.
In closing, NPC Ghana reaffirmed its commitment to inclusivity, stating, “We are one movement, one vision and together, we rise.”
