Police launch manhunt after daylight robbery in Adabraka

In a statement, the Ghana Police  assure the public of arresting and prosecuting  the perpetrators of the act.

The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for a group of armed robbers who carried out a daring heist at a jewellery shop in Adabraka on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

According to eyewitnesses, four masked men arrived in a red Toyota Corolla, discharging rounds into the air to scatter bystanders. In the chaos, shoppers and vendors sought shelter behind nearby stalls as the robbers forcibly opened the car’s boot, taking sacks of cash and fleeing in their own getaway vehicle.

In a statement, the Ghana Police  assure the public of arresting and prosecuting  the perpetrators of the act.

“We would like to assure the public that we will surely get them (the robbers) and bring them to face justice” the statement noted.

Meanwhile Member of Parliament (MP) for the Korle Klottey constituency, Zanetor Rawlings visited the scene and expressed her concern over such incidents occurring in the lead-up to the elections. She urged the police and the Ministry of the Interior to enhance security for citizens.
