The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has scheduled a balloting exercise for its presidential aspirants ahead of the party’s upcoming presidential primary, slated for January 31, 2026.
The balloting, which will determine the order in which candidates appear on the ballot paper, is set to take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the party’s national headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra.
In a letter signed by William Yamoah, Secretary to the Presidential Elections Committee, the party congratulated the aspirants on successfully passing the vetting stage and urged their full participation in the process.
The letter, dated October 7, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to fairness, transparency, and inclusivity in its internal democratic procedures.
The invitation to participate in the balloting has been extended to all five qualified aspirants: Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong, former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.
The party also requested that each aspirant confirm receipt of the invitation and assured them that any concerns raised prior to the balloting would be addressed appropriately.
