Crystal Palace have won the FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history, defeating Manchester City 1–0 in the final at Wembley Stadium on May 17, 2025.

The victory marks Palace’s first major trophy since the club was founded in 1905.

The only goal of the match came in the second half, following a quick counterattack that broke through City’s defense. Palace maintained their lead for the remainder of the game with disciplined defending and key interventions, most notably from goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Henderson was instrumental in the win, producing a standout performance that included a critical penalty save to deny Manchester City an equalizer.

This was Palace’s third appearance in an FA Cup final, following defeats in 1990 and 2016. Under the management of Oliver Glasner, the team finally secured the title, achieving a historic milestone for the South London club.

As a result of the win, Crystal Palace have also qualified for the 2025–26 UEFA Europa League, their first appearance in European competition since the 1998 UEFA Intertoto Cup.

The FA Cup victory ends Palace’s long wait for major honours and represents a landmark moment in the club’s history.
