Amidu Issahaku Chinnia, Member of Parliament for the Sissala East Constituency and Deputy Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, has taken a significant step to address the water crisis in Bujan by providing a solar-powered water system to the community.
Bujan had been facing severe water shortages due to the breakdown of several boreholes in the area, exacerbated by the impact of the harmattan season.
The installation of this modern water project has brought much-needed relief to the residents, with hundreds expected to benefit from the initiative.
Chinnia, who advocated for the project from a Qatari Charity Organization, emphasized that this effort is aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by the community.
The project marks the fourth such initiative in the constituency, with other beneficiary communities including Kuroboi and Piina.
In urging the residents to take good care of the project to ensure its longevity, Chinnia emphasized the importance of community involvement in maintaining the system.
