Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is set to file his nomination for the upcoming presidential election today Monday September 9, at the Electoral Commission’s headquarters.
According to a statement released by Justin Kodua Frimpong on Sunday, Dr. Bawumia will be accompanied by his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, as well as the Party’s National Chairman, General Secretary, Majority Leader in Parliament and other top party officials.
Following the filing of his nomination, Dr. Bawumia is expected to address party supporters and the general public at the NPP’s headquarters in the morning.
The event has been described as a “historic moment of possibility in Ghana’s next chapter,” and members of the party and the general public are invited to attend.
