The family of Stephen Ayensu Ntim, National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has formally requested his temporary withdrawal from all party responsibilities due to serious health concerns.

In a letter dated June 16, addressed to the Chairman of the NPP Council of Elders, Mr. Ntim’s family cited his deteriorating health condition, including signs of “cognitive dissonance and mental incapacitation.

” They expressed deep concern for his well-being, warning that continued involvement in party affairs may pose further risks and violate his personal rights.

The letter, signed by several close relatives including Kingsley Oteng (Family Head) and Adelaide Ntim (MP), called attention to Mr. Ntim’s long-standing dedication to the party, noting his contributions from his role as First National Deputy Chairman to his current leadership position.

“Steve is not well at the moment,” the family stated, emphasizing the need for him to step back from political duties, including the upcoming NPP meeting scheduled for June 17 at the Alisa Hotel, which he was expected to chair.

The family has urged the NPP leadership to respond with compassion and responsibility, prioritizing Mr. Ntim’s recovery and overall well-being before any discussions of his return to party activities.
