The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama,  has issued a strong caution against attempts to undermine the credibility of the upcoming elections.

He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to safeguarding the integrity of the polls.

Speaking at the NDC’s final rally at Zurak Park in Madina on Thursday, December 5, 2024, Mr. Mahama urged electoral officials, security agencies, and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to adhere to democratic principles and ensure a free and fair process.

He called on Ghanaians to vote decisively, emphasizing that this election is a turning point for the nation’s future.

“I want to caution the NPP government, the security services, and all those responsible for overseeing the election. I urge you to reject any malicious schemes that may be in the works. Together, we will protect our votes with courage and vigilance, and we will not allow anyone to tamper with the results,” he stated.

Meanwhile, NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah rallied supporters against what he termed the NPP’s “skirt and blouse” campaign strategy.

Addressing the crowd at Zurak Park, he encouraged party faithful to vote overwhelmingly for both the NDC’s presidential and parliamentary candidates, warning against any attempt to split votes.
