The founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor, has publicly expressed her discontent with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) over what she perceives as unwarranted criticism of the Electoral Commission (EC).
Speaking at the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on October 1, the Presidential aspirant accused the NDC of attempting to create chaos and undermine the EC’s credibility among Ghanaians.
She commended the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for its collaborative approach toward the EC’s initiatives and urged the NDC to adopt a similar stance. She praised the EC Chairperson, describing her as “God-sent” and emphasizing that any efforts to oppose her would be futile.
‘Our representatives were all present to oversee the voter registration exercise and submitted our observations and concerns to the EC. Why are you disturbing the EC? Don’t you know she is God sent?’ she noted.
