The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service, unveiled a state-of-the-art ambulance at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE).
This fully equipped ambulance will be stationed at the GSCE at Prampram, providing crucial emergency medical support for players, officials, and staff.
The addition of this ambulance is set to significantly enhance the healthcare services available at the facility, which serves as the primary training and camping base for Ghana’s national football teams.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by key figures, including GFA Vice-President Mark Addo, members of the Executive Council, former GFA Vice-Chairman Fred Pappoe, and former General Secretary Emmanuel Gyimah, alongside Congress delegates and media representatives.
GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku expressed deep gratitude to the Minister of Health, Dr. Okoe Boye, and the Ministry’s Chief Director for their pivotal roles in securing the ambulance.
Their efforts were essential in strengthening the partnership between the GFA and the Ghana Health Service.
General Secretary of the GFA, Prosper Harrison Addo, emphasized the importance of the new ambulance, noting that it will be actively used to improve the health and safety of everyone at the centre.
He also praised the Ghana Health Service for their support in making this project a reality.
“This achievement is a testament to the strong partnership between the GFA and the Ghana Health Service.
We are extremely grateful for their support, and this ambulance will play a vital role in ensuring the wellbeing of all who use the GSCE,” Addo stated.
