The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially granted Egypt the hosting rights for the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

This follows Cote d’Ivoire’s unexpected withdrawal, opening the door for Egypt, which had previously expressed interest in organizing the event.

Known for its football passion, modern infrastructure, and experience in hosting major continental and international tournaments, Egypt is poised to deliver a successful event.

With strong backing from the Egyptian government and the nation’s football federation, CAF is confident the tournament will be well-organized, secure, and exciting.

The tournament will begin on Sunday, April 27, 2025, and conclude with the final on May 18, 2025.

It will feature Africa’s top young football talents, with teams competing not only for continental glory but also for a spot in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile later that year.
