Nigeria’s leading hairstylist, Tayo Alakija, together with her sisters, Tope & Tola, owns The Triplet’s Studio in Lekki, Lagos. Tayo is bringing her famous signature pixie cuts to Accra this weekend as part of their Triplets Studio × TayoCuts Takes Africa 1.0 pop-up tour.
The tour, which launched in Abuja from March 20–22, continues in Accra, Ghana, this weekend from March 27–29 in partnership with Ghana’s biggest trendy beauty chain, POLISHED, owned by Nana & Kokwe.
The heavily in-demand sisters will head to Johannesburg from April 3–5. The sisters, who are known for styling some of Africa’s biggest names, including Tiwa Savage and Ayra Starr, are expanding their expertise beyond Lagos.
“This tour is about empowering women with styles that exude confidence, class, and individuality,” the Sisters said.
Their journey from South London to Lagos in 2018 saw them transform a rented salon chair into a thriving beauty empire. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they pioneered VIP home salon services, leading to the creation of The Triplet Studio, a luxury beauty brand they all co-founded.
