I am a 28-year-old woman who just came out of university. It’s been tough trying to find a job and money plus a lot of things happening in my life right now that don’t help situation. I will confess that there is on thing that keeps me happy and it’s my boyfriend.
I do everything with him and he’s slightly older than me, 32, but he’s recently started adding to my problems. I think this is the last straw and if I don’t get help, I might give up on life.
As I haven’t been able to support myself financially, I have sort of relied on my boyfriend for help in our relationship. He makes about 7k a month and is always generous with me. Thankfully I live with my parents and don’t need to pay for rent and food but I obviously have to buy clothes and change my hair from time to time so that I can look good and he takes care of that.
He recently took me out to get something to eat and he forgot his wallet in the car so he asked that I pay for the bill and that he’ll send me the money back. I was a bit surprised because usually men are supposed to pay for everything and he knows that so where from this? Anyway, after expressing my disappointment, I paid from my bank app and decided to use the ladies’ room.
When I got back, I could see that he was very angry. And when I asked him why, he showed me my phone screen. I still didn’t understand till he asked me why I had 36k in my account.
I didn’t really understand why he was asking me so I told him I had been saving from the little he gives me and what my parents do from time to time. Can you believe he walked out on me and left me to find my way home? According to him, he has been spending all his money on me and didn’t have more than 10k in his account. He claims I have fooled him into paying for everything we do together whiles I have more money than him right now.
Ehen? What exactly is the problem with a man paying for everything and spending on his woman? If I am a better save than he is, shouldn’t he be thankful that he has such a wise person in his corner? I honestly wouldn’t have a problem if he asked me for a load because I would be more than willing to give him so I don’t understand where his anger is coming from.
But anyway, this issue we have is causing me sleepless nights. I don’t hear from him as much because he claims he’s always busy and he doesn’t send me money for taking care of myself anymore.
I don’t know what I did to deserve this behaviour from him but I feel like there’s something I can’t see so I hope your readers can help me to point it out. Please help me fix my broken pen. Thank you.
