Adaha Dance Band brought its signature celebration of Ghana’s dance-band and highlife tradition to the stage. Led by Kweku Boateng, the ensemble is known for reintroducing the rich, brass-led sound of classic Ghanaian dance bands to a new generation—blending highlife with influences of calypso, samba, juju-highlife and Afrobeat. Their performance at Blackberry Lounge was a reminder that timeless Ghanaian music still has the power to get every generation moving.
Nkyinkyim Band followed with the vibrant, wide-ranging sound that has made them one of the country’s most in-demand contemporary live bands. With a repertoire spanning highlife, Afrobeat, hiplife, reggae and funk, the group brings a youthful energy to Ghanaian classics and modern favourites alike.
