President John Dramani Mahama has returned to Ghana following his participation in the Africa Forward Summit held in Nairobi, Kenya, where African and global leaders engaged in high-level discussions on development priorities across the continent.
The summit, co-hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron, focused on key issues including energy transition, healthcare reforms, and the strengthening of African financial institutions.

During the summit, President Mahama participated in discussions on green industrialisation and energy transition initiatives, contributing to efforts aimed at promoting sustainable development and climate resilience in Africa.
He also joined a strategic working session on reforms to African financial institutions and co-chaired a dialogue on transforming healthcare systems across the continent.

On the sidelines of the event, the President held bilateral meetings with several international leaders and institutions, including Kristalina Georgieva, António Guterres, officials of the African Continental Free Trade Area, and representatives of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

The engagements, according to officials, reaffirm Ghana’s commitment to international cooperation, economic transformation, and sustainable development goals.
