A new national platform aimed at recognising decades of Christian leadership, service, and moral stewardship in Ghana has been officially launched.

The initiative, known as Christian Honours, was introduced by MF Production and is positioned as a faith-driven platform dedicated to celebrating lives of enduring integrity and impact.

Organisers describe Christian Honours as a values-based recognition system rooted in biblical principles. Drawing from Scripture, the platform reflects the Apostle Paul’s exhortation to believers to “honour one another above yourselves” (Romans 12:10) and to “render therefore to all their dues… honour to whom honour is due” (Romans 13:7).

Speaking during the official launch, Kofi Kpodo, Executive Director of the Christian Honours Secretariat, said the platform was created to honour Christian pioneers and torchbearers whose faithfulness has helped shape Ghana’s churches, communities, professions, and national life over the years.

He emphasised that Christian Honours is not an award scheme driven by popularity or publicity. “This is not about hype,” Kpodo stated. “Christian Honours is a sacred platform of recognition dedicated to celebrating service, impact, and enduring integrity.”

According to him, the initiative seeks to honour individuals, institutions, and organisations whose lives and work have reflected Christ and contributed positively to societal advancement.

To safeguard integrity and public trust, Christian Honours is governed by the Independent Panel of Unbiased Review with Ethics and Integrity (I-PURE), which oversees nominations and selections to ensure fairness, transparency, and credibility.

The honours platform is structured around seven main categories, two of which contain three sub-categories each, resulting in a total of twelve categories. These include recognition for motivating and inspiring personalities, compassionate leadership, and influential figures within Christian and national life.

Other categories focus on health-oriented churches and organisations that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being, particularly in underserved communities, as well as education-oriented churches and organisations that contribute to learning development, scholarships, and educational infrastructure.

Christian Honours also recognises evangelistic organisations that demonstrate consistent commitment to spreading the message of salvation through outreach, missions, discipleship, and sustained evangelism.

The Christian Performing Arts category celebrates creatives who communicate Christian values through music and the arts, including gospel music groups, notable gospel artists, and visual or performing artists whose work reflects faith-based messaging.

In addition, the Special Honours category acknowledges exceptional and unique legacies, including distinguished African Christian personalities, religio-political voices whose faith has influenced public life, and posthumous recognition for individuals whose contributions over the past 35 to 40 years have left lasting impact on the church and society.

Organisers say Christian Honours represents a long-term commitment to preserving Christian legacy,
