The Electoral Commission (EC) has assured stakeholders of its full preparedness to conduct the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primary scheduled for Saturday, January 31.
According to the Commission, all key logistical and administrative arrangements have been finalized to ensure a smooth, transparent, and credible electoral process.
The EC’s Deputy Director of Research, Fred Tetteh, revealed that the distribution of election materials to designated voting centers nationwide will begin on Tuesday, January 27.
He explained that critical preparatory activities, including the printing of ballot papers, have been completed under strict supervision, with representatives of the presidential aspirants present throughout the process.
“Our preparations are far advanced. The printing of the ballot papers, which was done in the presence of the representatives of the aspirants, has been completed,” Mr Tetteh stated.
He added that the Commission has since taken custody of the ballot papers from the printing facility and has also received the official voter album for accredited delegates.
