Manchester City have completed the signing of Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal worth up to €75m plus bonuses. The Egypt international has penned a four-and-a-half-year contract, committing his future to the Etihad Stadium until June 2029.

“I’m thrilled to join one of the best teams in the world,” Marmoush exclaimed. “With Pep Guardiola, his technical staff, and the world-class facilities here, players have everything they need to become better. That was really enticing for me when I had the chance to come here.”

Marmoush’s arrival marks City’s third January signing, following the additions of Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens and Vitor Reis from Palmeiras. The 25-year-old winger has been in scintillating form for Frankfurt, scoring 37 goals in 67 appearances since joining the club in the summer of 2023.

City’s pursuit of Marmoush was driven by the need to bolster their attacking options, particularly following Julian Alvarez’s departure to Atletico Madrid last summer. The Egyptian’s pace, skill, and goal-scoring prowess make him an ideal fit for Guardiola’s system.

Marmoush’s signing is a significant statement of intent from City, who are seeking to strengthen their squad in pursuit of domestic and European success. With Erling Haaland committing his long-term future to the club last week, the Citizens are assembling a formidable squad capable of challenging on all fronts.
