Tatjana Maria’s remarkable journey to the Queen’s Club final has been nothing short of a fairytale.

At 37 years old and ranked 86th in the world, Maria defied all odds to reach the final after coming through qualifying and overcoming a nine-match losing streak.

In the semifinals, she delivered a stunning 6-3, 7-6(7-3) win over Australian Open champion Madison Keys, becoming the oldest woman to reach a WTA 500 final.

Maria’s persistence and love for tennis have been key to her success, as she explained, “You always have to keep going. You never can stop, [it] doesn’t matter how it goes.”

In the final, Maria faces American eighth seed Amanda Anisimova, who also made history by reaching her first grass-court final after a tough 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 win over Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen.

The match will be historic, as the winner will become the first women’s singles champion at Queen’s in 52 years.

Both Maria and Anisimova have defied expectations, and their clash promises to be an exciting contest, showcasing the resilience and talent that define modern tennis.
