On day four of the UCI Road and Para-cycling Road World Championships in Zurich.
Great Britain secured nine medals, highlighted by global titles from Cat Ferguson, Felix Barrow, and Fran Brown.
Eighteen-year-old Ferguson dominated the women’s junior individual time trial (ITT), finishing in 23 minutes and 49.72 seconds.
She won gold by 34.30 seconds over Slovakia’s Viktoria Chladonova, with British cyclist Imogen Wolff earning the bronze.
In the men’s T2 individual time trial, Barrow claimed gold with a time of 16:28.66, finishing 34.84 seconds ahead of Belgium’s Tim Celen.
Meanwhile, Fran Brown, who won silver at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, successfully defended her women’s C1 ITT world title, clocking 29:27.93.
She led a British one-two finish, outpacing teammate Katie Toft by 4:09.42. In the C2 event, Daphne Schrager secured silver, while Amelia Cass took bronze.
Paralympic champion Finn Graham earned a silver medal in the men’s C3 ITT, finishing 2.11 seconds behind French champion Florian Bouziani. Ben Watson narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth.
Additionally, Matthew Robertson claimed bronze in the C2 category, and Callum Russell placed fourth in the men’s H4 ITT during his World Championship debut.
Ferguson, who had previously won silver in the world road race in Glasgow in 2023, signed with the Movistar racing team later that year, continuing her rise in the sport.
