The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has initiated a five-day training program to enhance the scouting network in southern Ghana.
Commencing on February 3 at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram, the program is aimed at equipping scouts from the Greater Accra, Central, Western, Eastern, and Volta regions with vital skills in talent identification, profiling, and report writing.
Under the guidance of the GFA’s Technical Director, Prof. Joseph K. Mintah, the training features a team of experienced instructors, including Desmond Ofei, Joseph Tetteh-Zutah, Papa Nii Lartey, Edward Acheampong, and Fataw Salifu.
The initiative seeks to strengthen the country’s scouting framework, ensuring the identification and development of emerging football talent.
The training will conclude on February 7, with participants returning to their respective regions, ready to contribute to the growth of youth football in Ghana.
This training program represents a key step towards improving Ghana’s football scouting infrastructure.
By enhancing the skills of local scouts, the GFA is investing in the future of the nation’s football, ensuring that the next generation of talent is nurtured and given the opportunity to shine at the highest levels of the sport.
