Atalanta, sitting third in the group, still need points to secure an automatic spot in the knockout stages.
They come off a 5-0 win over Sturm Graz and a solid away record in Europe this season, but their recent struggles against Spanish teams will give them plenty to think about.
Barcelona will be missing Inigo Martinez and Marc-Andre ter Stegen, with Dani Olmo also doubtful, but the return of Pedri is a boost.
Atalanta, meanwhile, will be without Odilon Kossounou and Gianluca Scamacca, while Mateo Retegui’s goal-scoring form offers a threat up front.
A win for Barcelona would ensure they finish top, while Atalanta will need a strong performance to advance directly to the last 16.
