Former Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North, Andy Appiah-Kubi, has declared his unwavering support for Dr. Bryan Acheampong as the most suitable figure to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into the future.
In comments made during a media interaction, Appiah-Kubi described the Abetifi MP and former Minister for Food and Agriculture as a “symbol of victory” and a transformative leader the party needs to regain momentum.
“Our task is to present a great candidate who can redeem our party, NPP, and Dr. Bryan Acheampong is preparing himself for that mission,” he stated.
Appiah-Kubi praised Dr. Acheampong’s blend of intellect and business acumen, positioning him as a strong contender for the party’s future leadership.
“If we are looking for a candidate with intellectual prowess, Bryan is the one. If we want a successful business mogul, he’s that too. So with him, we’re killing two birds with one stone,” he added.
Dr. Acheampong, currently serving as the Member of Parliament for Abetifi, has been gaining prominence within the NPP as a potential flagbearer, with growing support among party stakeholders and grassroots members.
His endorsement by a senior party figure like Appiah-Kubi is expected to further bolster his profile as the NPP prepares for future internal elections.
