Ghana’s Parliament is scheduled to resume its sittings on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, following a period of recess.

The announcement was made by Speaker Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin in line with parliamentary protocols.

This upcoming session marks the Second Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament under the Fourth Republic.

The Speaker’s formal communication, issued under Order 58 of the Standing Orders, serves as an official notification to all Members of Parliament (MPs) ahead of the resumption.

The return to parliamentary business will see lawmakers addressing pressing national matters, debating proposed legislation, and examining reports from standing and select committees.

With several critical issues on the national agenda, the meeting is expected to spark extensive deliberations as MPs return to the chamber to perform their legislative and oversight functions.
