Asante Kotoko has found a temporary home in Obuasi’s Len Clay Sports Stadium for the ongoing season. The decision comes after the National Sports Authority closed the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi for much-needed renovation works.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) withdrew its approval of the Baba Yara Stadium due to persistent issues, including an “unsuitable playing field.” This came after Ghana’s 1-0 loss to Angola in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Although the Sports Ministry has instructed the National Sports Authority to address the pitch problems, the completion date remains uncertain. Until then, the Len Clay Stadium will host Kotoko’s home matches.
The Porcupines will continue to call the Len Clay Stadium home until the Baba Yara Stadium’s renovation is complete. Fans will eagerly await updates on the stadium’s progress.
