Growing Ghanaian entrepreneur, Emmanuel Sarkodie, who recently acknowledged Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan for transforming his life, is the visionary behind Sarkcitycutz in Dubai and the UK.
Emmanuel Sarkodie started his career as a housekeeper. Like many immigrants seeking better opportunities, he moved to Dubai to create a better life for himself and his family. The work was demanding, often requiring long hours and intense physical labour. Despite the challenges, Emmanuel remained undeterred, always pursuing his dream of achieving something greater.
While working as a housekeeper, Emmanuel noticed Dubai’s booming beauty and grooming industry. He observed the high demand for quality barbering services and saw an opportunity. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for grooming, he began to envision a future where he could turn his observations into a business venture.
With his newfound skills and growing confidence, Emmanuel opened his first barbering salon, Sarkcitycutz, in Dubai. The salon quickly gained a reputation for exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere. Building on this success, Emmanuel opened a second salon in Dubai and eventually expanded to the UK, where he established another branch of Sarkcitycutz.
A significant turning point in Emmanuel’s journey came when he met Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan, who was one of his clients, After his haircut, Asamoah Gyan posted a video of when Emmanuel was giving him a haircut. “This video changed my life from a housekeeper to a CEO, thank you, Dr Asamoah.”.
The grateful entrepreneur revealed, “Now I have barbering salons in Dubai and London, and everything started from the video and the subsequent advice Asamoah Gyan gave me.”
Emmanuel openly acknowledges Gyan’s role in his success, stating that the football legend’s guidance and belief in him provided the encouragement he needed to pursue his ambitions wholeheartedly.
