I have a story and I want an honest opinion from your audience.
My boyfriend then, Kwame and I had been dating for about 2years. We had misunderstandings once in a while but we resolved to try as much as possible to solve them.
During my 3rd year in the University, he decided to visit me on campus.
Whiles at my end in the hostel, my course mate Akua came around.
Kwame signaled to me that I introduce Akua to her. I hesitated but he claimed he wanted to know the kind of friends I usually mingled with.
Well, I listened and introduced Kwame to Akua. They spoke briefly while I decided to pick up some items from the mart in the hostel.
Fast forward, months passed away. One day, Kwame and I had a big misunderstanding again. This time, it was just too much to handle and eventually we all called it quit. I informed Akua about it weeks after one Friday on our way for lectures.
As a friend, she obviously gave her advice and said somethings but well, I guess I didn’t really pay attention.
About 5 months later, after lectures, Akua did something strange I didn’t understand.
After our usual lectures, we were fond of taking pictures and goofing around. So we did same. She took lovely pics of us. I mentioned to her to remember to send them to me.
While we were walking back, She randomly said to me, “ So let’s speak to your ex Kwame”… and then afterwards, added, Kwame says you are looking beautiful…
I was surprised because I didn’t have Kwame’s number and Akua also mentioned she didn’t have his number.
How did Kwame see me? Or he was around?
I thought through this and decided to go through Akua’s phone one day when she came visiting. I realized they’ve been texting all this while to the extent that whenever she’s going for lectures she sends her picture to my ex Kwame.
I couldn’t hold it in so I eventually confronted Akua by going to her room.
She starting crying saying a lot.
Akua’s roommate approached me and sounded as though I’m a bad friend for confronting Akua.
I didn’t care about Kofi but do you think Akua did right as friend? Or I’m just overthinking things? What do I do? Am I permitted to get angry? What is Akua hoping to achieve?
