Adamus Resources Limited has pushed back against government’s decision to revoke its mining leases, describing the move as unfair and taken without proper procedure.

The company says it has officially noted the revocation of its concessions at Akango, Salman, and Nkroful, but insists the decision is based on claims that do not accurately represent its operations.

According to Adamus, it operates legally under valid permits issued through Ghana’s regulatory institutions, including the Minerals Commission and the Environmental Protection Agency, in accordance with the Minerals and Mining Act, 2006 (Act 703).

It rejected allegations linked to the revocation, stressing that they are inconsistent with the reality of its mining activities.

The company also argued that it was not officially informed of any specific infractions and was not given an opportunity to respond before the decision was made. It described this as a breach of fair administrative process, especially in matters involving long-term investment commitments.

Adamus further denied any engagement in illegal mining or unauthorised subcontracting, reaffirming its commitment to lawful and responsible mining practices.

It says it is engaging the relevant state institutions to address the issue and is confident that a proper review of the facts will confirm its compliance with applicable laws.

The company has also indicated that it will take all necessary legal steps to safeguard its interests while continuing discussions with stakeholders.
