Kevin Durant etched his name deeper into NBA history, becoming just the eighth player to surpass 30,000 career points. The Phoenix Suns star hit the milestone with a pair of free throws in the third quarter against the Memphis Grizzlies, marking yet another chapter in his illustrious career.

Durant now stands among legends, joining LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Dirk Nowitzki, and Wilt Chamberlain in the ultra-exclusive club. Remarkably, he reached the mark in his 1,101st career game the exact same number as Abdul-Jabbar. Only Chamberlain (941 games) and Jordan (960) have done it faster.

From the moment he entered the league as the No. 2 pick in 2007, Durant has been a scoring force. A four-time scoring champion, he’s averaged at least 20 points per game every season and remains as lethal as ever at age 35. This season, he’s pouring in nearly 27 points per game while shooting an efficient 52% from the field.

Kevin Durant – Suns

Durant’s offensive versatility is unparalleled. At 6-foot-11 with a 7-foot-5 wingspan, he combines a big man’s height with a guard’s finesse, making him nearly unguardable. He thrives at all three levels mid-range, beyond the arc, and at the rim earning his fitting moniker,
“Easy Money Sniper.”

His shot chart is a testament to his all-around brilliance. Unlike many elite scorers who dominate specific areas, Durant’s buckets are spread across the entire floor. The corner three an area often reserved for specialists, which Durant is anything but. He’s not just a great shooter; he’s one of the most complete scorers the game has ever seen.

As the Suns push for playoff positioning, Durant continues to cement his legacy. With his relentless scoring ability and sustained excellence, there’s no telling just how high he’ll climb on the NBA’s all-time leaderboard.
