Charlotte FC forward Patrick Agyemang has been called up to the US Men’s National Team for the first time ahead of their January friendly matches.

The 24-year-old, who was born in the United States to Ghanaian parents, earned the call after an impressive season in the MLS, where he recorded ten goals and five assists for Charlotte FC.

His performances caught the eye of USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino, who is assembling a strong squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The US team, predominantly made up of MLS players, is currently training in Miami in preparation for matches against Venezuela and Costa Rica.

Agyemang is expected to make his debut on Saturday evening when the team faces Venezuela.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup set to be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Pochettino is focused on building a competitive squad capable of excelling on the global stage.

Agyemang’s inclusion underscores his growing reputation as a dynamic forward who could add creativity and firepower to the team’s attack.

For Agyemang, this marks a significant milestone in his career, offering him the chance to prove himself on the international stage.

His debut could be the beginning of a promising journey as he aims to establish himself as a key player in the USMNT’s World Cup plans.
