The Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi hosted a thrilling yet goalless stalemate as FC Samartex faced off against Hearts of Oak in a highly anticipated Ghana Premier League matchday 17 fixture.

Despite a lack of goals, the match was filled with drama, intensity, and determination from both teams.

Samartex, the defending champions, started the game with authority, dominating possession and controlling the tempo early on.

However, their early supremacy didn’t result in clear-cut scoring opportunities, as Hearts of Oak’s defense held firm.

The visitors, though under pressure, remained composed and gradually found their rhythm as the game progressed.

The second half saw Samartex step up the pressure, pushing more players forward in search of a breakthrough.

Yet, Hearts of Oak nearly grabbed the lead in the 60th minute when young Hamza Issah unleashed a powerful strike, only for Baah to make a stunning save.

As the match wore on, both teams had their chances to snatch all three points.

Alhassan Mankuyeli’s one-on-one effort was denied by Asare, while a late header from Asamoah Boateng Afriyie was superbly saved by Baah.

The 0-0 draw leaves Samartex focused on their upcoming home match against Dreams FC, while Hearts of Oak set their sights on a revenge clash against Basake Holy Stars.
