In exciting news, Cagliari midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana and West Bromwich Albion forward Brandon Thomas-Asante have received their debut callups to join Ghana’s squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic.

The dynamic duo has been included in Ghana’s 26-man squad for the crucial double-header matches set to take place in Bamako and Kumasi on June 6 and 10, respectively.

Coach Otto Addo took notice of Sulemana’s stellar performances in the Serie A this season, where he showcased his skills in 21 matches scoring twice.

On the other hand, Brandon Thomas-Asante has been making waves with West Bromwich Albion in the English Championship, netting an impressive 11 goals and 2 assists in 41 appearances for the English side’s second tier team.

The Black Stars are set to undergo rigorous tactical training at the University of Ghana Stadium for six days before embarking on their journey to Bamako on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
