Hohoe United Football Club (HUFC) has expressed outrage and condemned the appalling treatment they faced during a recent match against Kotoku Royals FC.

The incident, which included unsanitary conditions, safety risks, and unfair gate fees, has sparked widespread concern.

Prior to the match, Hohoe United discovered their dressing rooms smeared with animal droppings, creating a disrespectful and unsanitary environment.

Additionally, the absence of a safe zone for players exposed them to unnecessary risks.

The game was also marred by a barrage of stones thrown onto the pitch, endangering players’ safety and integrity.

Furthermore, Hohoe United criticized the exorbitant gate fees imposed on supporters, limiting fan participation and enthusiasm.

In addition the Hohoe United media team’s exclusion from covering the game further compounded the club’s dismay.

Following these distressing incidents, Hohoe United has called for swift action and urges relevant authorities to investigate thoroughly.

The club is committed to upholding values of respect, integrity, and inclusivity in football.

In response, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Oda Kotoku Royals FC with breaching regulations, including misconduct that brings the game into disrepute. The club has until May 16, 2024, to respond to the charges.
