The Ghana Premier League is officially set to return, with Matchday 23 scheduled for the weekend of March 7–10, 2025. However, the resumption remains subject to final safety and security inspections across all venues, ensuring compliance with new protocols.

The Football Association (GFA), in collaboration with the Ministry for Sports and Recreation, has been conducting extensive checks to guarantee a safe environment for players, officials, and fans. The league’s restart follows weeks of discussions and the introduction of the Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols 2025, a framework largely shaped by club input.

In addition to Matchday 23, the GFA has announced new dates for outstanding fixtures. Matchday 20 will take place from March 18–20, Matchday 21 from April 1–3, and Matchday 22 from April 15–17. These rescheduled games will help teams catch up in what promises to be a thrilling second half of the season.

Cup football also returns, with a standout fixture between Asante Kotoko and Sekondi Eleven Wise in the MTN FA Cup. The two sides will face off on Wednesday, March 12, adding another layer of excitement to the football calendar.

With anticipation building, the GFA has urged full cooperation from clubs, match officials, and law enforcement to ensure smooth operations. Fans can now look forward to an action-packed continuation of the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League season.
