Georgia faced Czech Republic in a tricky and difficult encounter in the ongoing UEFA European Championship in Germany.

This was their second group game in the competition.

Georgia missed a great opportunity at the end of the game when substitute Saba Lobjanidze failed to score, resulting in a 1-1 draw against the Czech Republic, marking Georgia’s first-ever point in a major tournament.

Despite being the underdogs, Georgia took the lead just before halftime with a goal from striker Georges Mikautadze.

On the other hand, the Czech Republic, who were much more threatening, equalized through Patrik Schick after Ondrej Lingr’s shot hit the post.

Schick later got injured, and Georgia’s goalkeeper, Giorgi Mamardashvili, made several crucial saves to secure the draw.

The match ended with Lobjanidze missing a chance to score in the final moments.

This result sets up an exciting final group stage match for both teams with a chance to advance to the round of 1
