Chris Hughton has named Jordan Ayew as captain for Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday.
The Crystal Palace forward who is in scintillating form will lead the team in place of brother Andre Ayew who starts from the bench.
In post is Lawrence Ati Zigi with Alidu Seidu, Baba Abdul Rahman, Alexander Djiku and Joseph Aidoo forming the back line.
Elisha Owusi makes his first start since the international friendly against Switzerland in November last year. He will partner Abdul Salis Samed in the midfield while Osman Bukari and Jordan operate on the wings.
Inaki Williams leads the line with Mohammed Kudus to operate behind him.
Ghana are in need of a win to top Group E – and also pick a ticket for the Africa Cup of Nations Cote D’Ivoire 2023 in January next year.
The game is scheduled for 4pm kick off at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi.
