Background:
Percival Kofi Akpaloo is a Ghanaian politician known for his leadership in founding two political parties. He first entered the political scene with the Independent People’s Party (IPP), which he led in the 2012 general election. After being disqualified from the 2016 elections as the IPP presidential candidate, Akpaloo transitioned to form the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) in 2017, where he continued his political aspirations till date.
