Ghana’s Black Queens have been placed in Group C for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), set to be held in Morocco next year.
The draw, conducted on Friday night, has put Ghana up against defending champions South Africa, Tanzania, and Mali in the group stage.
Group A features host nation Morocco, Zambia, Senegal, and DR Congo, while Group B includes Nigeria, Algeria, Tunisia, and Botswana.
This draw sets up a tough yet promising path for the Black Queens, with key matchups against South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, Mali’s Les Aiglonnes, and Tanzania’s Twiga Stars.
The 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will take place from July 5 to July 26, 2025, in Morocco.
