Some supporters, loyalists and activists of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Offinso North Constituency of Ashanti region have purchased nomination forms for the Director General of Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), Dr Fred Kyei Asamoah to contest in the party’s upcoming parliamentary primaries
The decision to procure the forms on Dr. Kyei’s behalf, orchestrated by a dynamic group of youth led by Presiding Member Hon Francis Awuah, stems from their recognition of his resourcefulness, humility, and diligence in national service, which has significantly benefited the Offinso North District.
Expressing their apprehension, they believe that the party’s electoral prospects would be compromised if the incumbent MP, Hon A.C. Ntim, is presented instead of Dr. Fred Kyei in the 2024 general elections.
According to them a previous political trend analyses in the constituency indicate a consistent decline in elections where A.C. Ntim was the candidate.
Hon Francis Awuah, the Presiding Member and representative of the Nsuoase Electoral Area in Afrancho, Offinso North District, elucidated to journalists the various forms of support provided by Dr. Fred Kyei, spanning infrastructural development, educational initiatives, and employment opportunities.
