A group known as United Zongo For Bawumia has refuted earlier assertions made by certain individuals claiming to be members of their group, who purportedly declared their endorsement for Lawyer John Kumah as the NPP’s Running Mate.
During a press conference in Kumasi, the Chairman of the Pro-NPP group, Alhaji Muazu Issaka Kunata, clarified that the individuals who made these claims had been expelled from their membership, and their statement was not sanctioned by the entire group.
He further noted that the group is ready to support anyone the vice president chooses as his Running Mate.
“I nearly arrested the individual who made these claims. We will never do this today or tomorrow. Whoever the Vice President chooses, whether a man or a woman, we are ready to support that person,” he stated.
