The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park (KNMP), in partnership with Akosombo Hotels
Limited, operators of Volta Hotel and Dodi World, is pleased to announce the launch
of the “Heritage to Leisure Tour”, a specially curated tourism package designed to
showcase Ghana’s rich historical heritage alongside some of the country’s most
celebrated leisure destinations.
Scheduled to take place from 4th to 5th September 2026, the two-day experience
offers participants an opportunity to explore significant national landmarks while
enjoying premium hospitality and recreational activities in Akosombo. Participants
will enjoy a comprehensive itinerary that includes; A guided VIP tour of the Kwame
Nkrumah Memorial Park, a brunch experience at the Park, an educational tour of the
Akosombo Dam, one-night accommodation at the Volta Hotel and a luxury cruise
experience aboard Dodi World on the Volta Lake.
The initiative forms part of efforts by both institutions to promote domestic tourism,
