The French Embassy in Ghana proudly announces Creation Africa Ghana: The Festival, a dynamic celebration showcasing the impact of its pioneering program for young creators and entrepreneurs across Ghana. In partnership with Alliance Française Accra and Impact Hub Accra, this free-access event is scheduled for November 9th from 3 PM to 11 PM at Alliance Française Accra. It celebrates a year of mentorship, cultural exchange, and entrepreneurial growth across Ghana’s creative industries, offering an immersive cultural experience through music, film, storytelling, and more.
• Pop-Up Stands and Interactive Exhibits: Local entrepreneurs display Ghana’s finest
craft, design, digital and publishing talents, including Kayadua Studio, The Revival Earth
Organization, Fearnomanclothing, Afro Ele Studio, Wear Ghana, Akese Homeware,
Xetoto Arts Foundation, Bonobo Concept Store, Grey Area Studios Ghana, Leti Arts,
SPiiKA, Acute Formula, Moongirls, Booksie, and Fish and Plankton.
• Live Performances: Enjoy an open mic hosted by renowned artist Ria Boss and Pamm
Takyiwaa, featuring performances from Ess Thee Legend, Stella Sena, and Boyd.
Headlining the concert is Ghanaian artist Pure Akan, known for his unique sound and
powerful lyrics celebrating cultural pride and identity.
• Gizo-Gizo Stage Play: A captivating adaptation of Gizo-Gizo: A Tale from the Zongo
Lagoon by Emily Williamson, produced by Booksie in collaboration with Vivie’s Dance
& Theatre Academy.
• DJ Set: Dance to the infectious beats of DJ Elinam Yaa, adding her unique flair to the
festival.
• Film Screenings: An exclusive selection of Ghanaian short films, including Neverland
by Grey Area Studios, Fa Ma Omo (Give it to Them) by Emmanuel Addy, Born of the
Earth by Kuukua Eshun, Tantra by Helel Smith, and Breaking the Mold by Michael
Ansah. These films explore themes of self-expression, unity, and African identity.
• Sound Documentary: L’avenir est déjà ici (The Future is Already Here) by Joewackle J.
Kusi and Konstantina Stavropoulou offers a 15-minute exploration of antifascist activism
in Brest, France, confronting rising extremism and community resilience.
• Live Podcast: Experience Jambo Spaces live with an on-site podcast recording featuring
creators who celebrate African creativity and storytelling. Connect with voices shaping
culture and engage with Jambo’s festival-only pop-up, blending conversation, art, and
community.
• Ghana Food Movement: A culinary journey featuring traditional and modern Ghanaian
dishes, giving attendees a taste of local flavors and culture.
