Unreleased music by global superstar Beyoncé has reportedly been stolen from a vehicle in Atlanta just days before the launch of her four-night Cowboy Carter tour stop in the city, according to local authorities.

The theft, which occurred on July 8—just two days before Beyoncé’s first Atlanta show—involved a rental vehicle used by her choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue.

The two had parked their black Jeep Wagoneer near a food hall, and upon returning, found the rear window smashed and two suitcases missing, a police incident report confirmed.

Among the stolen items were five jump drives containing sensitive and unreleased material, including watermarked music, show footage plans, and set lists for both past and upcoming performances.

The report emphasized that the stolen content held “personal sensitive information for the musician Beyoncé.”

Additional stolen items included a laptop, designer clothing, and Apple AirPods. Authorities have since used tracking data from the stolen devices to trace their movements and recover potential leads.

Police say two light fingerprints were lifted from the vehicle, and an arrest warrant has been issued, though the suspect’s identity has not been released.

The incident is likely to be a major security concern for Beyoncé and her team, who are known for maintaining tight control over her creative content to prevent leaks.

As of now, it is unclear whether the stolen materials have been recovered.

The theft took place just ahead of her performances in Atlanta, which began on July 10. Her husband, rapper Jay Z, made a surprise appearance during her third show. Dancer Diandre Blue and choreographer Christopher Grant, both long-time collaborators of Beyoncé, were involved in high-profile appearances with her, including the 2024 Super Bowl ad that teased Cowboy Carter‘s release.

Cowboy Carter, which explores and celebrates the Black roots of country music, later earned Beyoncé the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.

No official statement has been issued yet.
