Newcastle United is at the forefront of the race to acquire Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, facing competition from several Premier League teams.

The Ghanaian international has had an impressive start to the season, netting three goals and providing one assist in his first seven Premier League matches.

This performance has piqued the interest of multiple clubs, including Newcastle, Liverpool, and Tottenham.

Reports suggest that Newcastle sees Semenyo as a key solution to their attacking challenges and a potential replacement for Miguel Almiron, who is expected to depart in January, with interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League and MLS.

In the summer, Newcastle attempted to secure Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga for the right-wing position but were deterred by the transfer fee.

The right-sided attacker remains a priority for the club, and manager Eddie Howe is particularly keen on the 24-year-old Semenyo. His versatility, including the ability to play as a forward, makes him an appealing option for Howe, who is currently low on attacking options.

Bournemouth is aware of the increasing interest in Semenyo and is preparing for offers, especially if he continues to excel.

However, they are not under immediate pressure to sell, having already transferred Dominic Solanke to Tottenham this summer. It would reportedly require a substantial offer to persuade Bournemouth to part with Semenyo, who is contracted until 2029.

Newcastle plans to monitor his situation closely and is considering a move for him in the January transfer window.
